Following the Footprints

Your children have excellent observation, they might observe the fascinating and amiable personality of their favorite teacher and decide to be a teacher in their future, or they might be allured by the elegant snow-white coat and the frolicsome stethoscope wrapped around one of their pediatricians. The first ten years of your child’s life play a crucial role in their development, during this time they learn their mother tongue, observe and adapt to their environment, and learn their values from you. Each child is different and unique; thus they have their own way of interpreting things. That’s what makes us different! But for them you are a superhero wearing a delicate red cape and wearing a blue helmet, holding Captain America’s shield. A child’s imagination is wild! They might want to follow you and grow to be a great person as you are. When asked, Huzaifa Ijaz one of the students in UAE, wanted to be a businessman, why? He replied, “…… since my father is a successful businessman in UAE he wakes up at 6 to prepare for his meetings, wears a perfectly ironed black suit; carries his black laptop bag; wears his glimmering black shoes, and goes to the office. I want to dress up like him every day and go to work.” Your child might want to join a career just due to the allure representation of the profession, or the perfect image they observe. They might not understand the seriousness of the matter, but they should have the perfect guidance to the path, your footprints, which not only tell them about the physical allurements of the profession but also the challenges associated with them. Most importantly they have faith in you, and you must have a firm belief in them and their dreams, to help them advance into whatever path they ought to.
